# Major Endorsements Guide

## Defining Micro- and Major Endorsements

**Micro-endorsements** are typically from small, local businesses and nonprofits. The activist community should be empowered to perform their own outreach for these types of endorsements, and can use [this resource](https://handbook.proanimal.org/for-canvassers/how-to-secure-local-endorsements) to guide their efforts.

**Major endorsements** include statewide and national organizations (and related chapters), as well as elected officials. Outreach for these endorsements should come from or in partnership with PAF staff members using the strategies outlined in this guide.
